At Malmsbury Primary School we are committed to being an eSmart school. The eSmart Schools program is a behaviour-change initiative designed to help schools improve cybersafety and reduce cyberbullying and bullying.
An eSmart school is a school where the smart, safe and responsible use of information and communications technology is a cultural norm. Students, teachers and the wider school community are equipped to embrace the best these technologies can offer, while being savvy about the pitfalls.
Throughout the school cybersafety is integrated into student learning. Our Grade 5/6 students must complete a digital licence https://www.digitallicence.com.au/ to show they are ready to use their Netbooks and the internet independently. Our Grade 5/6 students are currently creating a similar licence for our Grade 2-4 students to complete.
We aim to regularly provide cybersafety information and resources through our newsletter, Konnective messages, assemblies and information evenings. More information about eSmart is available at www.esmart.org.au.
